My name is Samweli, and I am 11 years old. I am currently sponsored monthly with £25 and £10 food parcels for my family, allowing us to address immediate needs such as medical costs and transport. As I require additional tuition, I need a total of £35 each month to support my education effectively. You can also choose to sponsor me annually for £420 or cover the complete primary education cost of £840.
My grandmother took me in after my parents abandoned me due to their struggles with mental health and alcohol. She does her best to support me, but life is challenging. With your help, we can improve our situation significantly. A family food parcel costs £90 a month, and essential items like bedding—beds and mosquito nets—amount to £589. Besides that, a basic house for us would cost £14,891, while a toilet would cost £3,895 and installing clean water access would cost £2,989.
My living conditions are severe. Our home is a mud hut that lacks basic necessities like a bed, mattress, or mosquito net, placing me at greater risk for malaria, which is prevalent in our area. We also desperately need access to clean water and toilets, as we currently rely on bushes for relief. Having proper facilities would protect us from infections and dangers that come with travelling far for water, including snakes and the risk of kidnapping.
Your support can change our lives.
