Rehema
I am Rehema, 11 years old and in primary 5. Being the sixth of seven siblings, life is incredibly challenging for my family. My mother is our sole provider, as my father struggles with alcoholism and mental illness. We live in a small mud hut, and all of us sleep on the floor.
Despite my health issues in the past, including worms and fleas, I've received the help I needed and am now thriving in school. I have made many friends, and my teachers support me greatly. However, we often go without food, struggling to eat even one meal a day. The two meals I get at school keep me energised.
Our living conditions are grim. We don’t have basic facilities like a toilet or running water, exposing us to many dangers.
I need your help. A food parcel for my family costs £90 a month; education support is £25 a month, and building a house would be £19,750. By becoming my school sponsor, you can help ensure that I continue my education and have nutritious meals. Your support can transform my hardships into hope, allowing me to dream of a brighter future. Thank you for considering my plea.
